I founded Provider Plexus because I saw firsthand how broken specialty care is for everyone involved — patients, specialists, and primary care physicians alike.

As a practicing neurologist, I watched patients wait months for appointments that lasted fifteen minutes. I saw people drive hours to see a specialist, take entire days off work, and still leave feeling rushed and unheard. Rural patients had it worst, many simply went without care because there was no specialist within a reasonable distance. But this problem is not unique to neurology. Across every specialty — cardiology, endocrinology, rheumatology, and beyond — the same access crisis plays out. Patients are left waiting, confused by a system that was never designed with them in mind.

On the physician side, the problems run just as deep. Specialists across every field are locked into rigid schedules, seeing twenty-plus patients a day in fifteen-minute slots with little say over how they practice. Burnout is rampant. Many talented colleagues have left clinical practice entirely because the traditional model left no room for autonomy or sustainable work. Physicians deserve the freedom to practice medicine on their own terms — choosing when, where, and how they see patients.

Primary care doctors are caught in the middle. When they refer a patient to a specialist, they are often left in the dark. Records get lost, referrals go unanswered, and there is rarely any communication back about what the specialist found or recommended. PCPs are left searching for records and never hearing back. That is not coordination — it is a dead end. Primary care physicians deserve a way to offer their patients specialty care quickly, with closed-loop communication that keeps them informed every step of the way.

Provider Plexus is my answer to all of these problems. We launched with neurology, but our vision is much larger — a platform that connects patients to specialists across a growing number of fields through simple, fast video visits. We give patients quick access that is straightforward, not confusing. We give specialists the autonomy to practice the way they want to practice. And we give primary care physicians a direct line to specialty care with real follow-through, so no referral disappears into a black hole. We built the entire platform from scratch to be as simple and frictionless as possible, because great care should not require a technology learning curve.
